Research on the relationship between PEARLL’s professional learning opportunities and participants’ teaching practices will help establish how PEARLL’s institutes impact their practices and their understanding of effective world language teaching.

This project will provide insight into program leaders’ perceptions of their effectiveness as teacher leaders and their success in providing instructional and emotional support to teachers in their program. The research will examine shifts in leaders’ beliefs and attitudes about language education through participation in PEARLL’s leadership certificate or leadership academy.
